This Broad Ripple home was built in the 1920s, and was last renovated in the 60s. Complete with asbestos tile, shag carpet, dark paneling, and acoustical tile ceilings, this house needed a complete overhaul. New windows, new flooring, new drywall, new ceilings, new lighting, new electrical, new floor plan, new kitchen and new bathrooms were all included in this project. Nods to original elements are included in various parts of the design. The original wood burning fire place was turned into a gas fireplace, but is otherwise original. The living room built-in bookcases and storage remained and were painted for an updated aesthetic. The original real marble bathroom flooring was cleaned and restored and also remains. This house was given new life with modern amenities through this renovation.
